A native of Dallas, Texas, Snoop discovered his passion for the arts at an early age. His childhood dreams were to become a professional football player and an actor. Not only did he mold his craft by practice and performance, in addition, he studied the best in the industry as a continuum to his personal development. Now football―that’s another story!
In September of 2015, Snoop’s most recent film, Her Eyez, received the 2015 Best Short Film Award Of The Year as well as Snoop the 2015 Excellency Award Of The Year―both were featured on the Cable News Network (CNN) website. The time and energy he has put into his craft is constantly being reviewed and awarded. Snoop continues to stay at the helm of the entertainment industry with films like Bold Evil Liar, Snoop Robinson’s Sinful Confession, Racial Conscience and She’s Not Our Sister, the stage play.
In February of 2011, Snoop produced and directed, She’s Not Our Sister the stage play, which attracted more than 4,000 patrons on opening night; resulting in a sellout crowd and an immediate opportunity to have the stage play filmed for television. The Gospel Music Channel (GMC) acquired She’s Not Our Sister. GMC debuted the broadcast version of the play on June 25th. She’s Not Our Sister helmed as the top rated show in GMC network history, which Snoop also directed. Due to the success of this show, it was then turned into a GMC TV and Swirl Films’ scripted television series, She’s Still Not My Sister, starring Kellita Smith and Jackee Harry.
Snoop is rapidly becoming known for his work, and although he is not a household name today, he is on the path to pierce the veil of notoriety with two more in store releases, Unexceptional Love and Deceptions of Love. He also created the radio show “Sinful Confessions”. This was a show about real life issues with a twist. It aired weekly during prime-time.
In March 2009, this gifted entertainer created the concept and became the producer of the “Freddy Haynes Unscripted” radio show, which Snoop Robinson aired weekly, live on 94.5FM KSoul and internationally via the web. The show features Dr. Freddy Haynes―pastor of Friendship West Baptist Church, and Sybil Wilkes of the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning team. Snoop has also done skits on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show which airs in more than fifty national markets.
Snoop is well respected for his directorial techniques and as the creative genius behind many successful stage plays such as, Torn Between 2 Lives, Body Parts, and countless other projects. Snoop launched and hosted his first televised talk show, “The Truth Hurts” which received outstanding reviews and aired six times a week.
The weight of his experiences and collaborations has allowed Snoop to grace theaters and TV screens. To his credit, Snoop has worked as the sound engineer or has performed with talents such as; Irma P. Hall, Carl Payne, Chuck Norris, Yarbrough and Peoples, Willie Hutch, Terron Brooks, Fred Hammond, Deelisha, Miss Lora, Dave Hollister, Al Sharpton, Kirk Franklin, Jesse Jackson, Marvin Sapp, Sinbad, Clifton Powell, Kellita Smith, Jazsmin Lewis and many other notables.
As a musician, Snoop played in a band that had the exhilarating experience of opening for music icon Prince. In 2004, Snoop launched his CD, Yearning 2 Learn, which is a tutorial that teaches both English and Spanish through songs. His certification as a licensed electrician and his love for music have also been pivotal in his role as a master sound technician and producer.
